Gas safety valve information:
Bakers Pride ovens utilize safety valves to ensure the safe operation of their gas appliances. These valves are designed to automatically shut off the gas supply in the event of unsafe conditions, such as:
- Pilot light extinguishing: If the pilot light goes out, the safety valve prevents the flow of gas to avoid a hazardous situation.
- Excessive or decreased pressure buildup: The valve can detect abnormal pressure in the gas supply line and respond by shutting off the flow.
- Excessive temperature: Some safety valves are designed to detect temperatures exceeding predetermined thresholds, helping prevent kitchen fires

Troubleshooting and installationIf you suspect a faulty safety valve, you can try the following diagnostic test:
- Turn off the gas supply to the oven.
- Push in the button on the valve and light the pilot.
- Hold the button for 30 to 45 seconds, ensuring the flame sensor next to the pilot flame glows red.
- Slowly release the button. If the pilot flame goes out, the safety valve is likely bad.
- Gas regulators: A must have to prevent pressure build up
