- An evaporator fan motor's primary functions are to circulate cold air from the evaporator coils throughout the refrigerator and freezer compartments and to pull warm air from the compartments over the evaporator coils to cool it

How it works
- Pulls air over the cold coils: The fan pulls warm air from the refrigerator and freezer.
- Cools the air: As the air passes over the cold evaporator coils, heat is absorbed from the air and transferred to the refrigerant, causing the air to cool.
- Distributes cool air: The motor then pushes this now-cold air through the refrigerator's ductwork to maintain the desired cool temperature in the compartments.
